The Istrian peninsula is crammed with picturesque walled old villages on the seashore but few are as attractive as Novigrad. Istrijas pussala ir pieblīvēts ar gleznainu sienu veco ciemati jūras krastā, bet maz ir tik liela, kā Novigrad. The center of the old town lies on a limestone peninsula that has been once an island. No vecās pilsētas centrā atrodas uz kaļķakmens pussalas, kas ir vienu reizi salu. Medieval walls topped with renewed crenellated towers run over the port and also the ancient center is replete with fifteenth to 18th-century homes and palaces.
