The Istrian peninsula is crammed with picturesque walled old villages on the seashore but few are as attractive as Novigrad. Istrijský poloostrov je nabitý malebné staré vesnice zděné na břehu moře, ale málo je tak atraktivní jako Novigrad. The center of the old town lies on a limestone peninsula that has been once an island. V centru starého města leží na vápencovém poloostrově, který byl kdysi ostrov. Medieval walls topped with renewed crenellated towers run over the port and also the ancient center is replete with fifteenth to 18th-century homes and palaces. Středověké hradby přikrýval s obnovenou cimbuřím věže přejet port a také starobylé centrum je plné patnáctého až 18. století-domy a paláce. A sightseeing highlight of Novigrad is the baroque Rigo Palace with a exquisitly sculpted facade. Vrcholem prohlídky Novigrad je barokní palác s Rigo exquisitly tvarovaná fasáda. The top of the island is devoted to a park shaded with parasol pines and there's a lungomare – seaside promenade – that runs along the coast to the Novigrad marina, probably the most sheltered in the Adriatic sea. V horní části ostrova je věnována parku ve stínu borovic se slunečníkem a tam Lungomare - přímořské promenádě - která běží podél pobřeží do přístavu Novigrad, pravděpodobně nejvíce chráněné v Jaderském moři.
